We the People Program
You've been asking. You want to know how and when. Here is a source to all your answers. Louisiana's "We The People" Program is administered in each of the state's seven Congressional Districts by a Coordinator who has worked successfully with the school systems and community in his/her area. Your Congressional District Coordinator should be your first point of contact for Louisiana's "We The People" Program. He/She is responsible for supplying up to 25 free classrooms sets of "We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution" textbooks to elementary, middle, or high school teachers who are interested in teaching this congressionally sanctioned, award winning, innovative curriculum.
Congressional District Coordinators organize district level simulated congressional hearings; provide follow up support to teachers who are using the curriculum; offer awareness sessions and more in-depth teacher training opportunities to both public and private schools in their districts; and assist with the Louisiana "We The People" State Competition program each year.
